Armed man arrested near Trump’s California golf course

Authorities have arrested a man who was walking the grounds at Donald Trump’s California golf course ahead of the US president’s visit.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said the man was taking photos and video, and had a 16-round magazine with ammunition in his pocket. They recovered a loaded pistol in his car.
The sheriff’s department announced Sunday’s arrest on Tuesday (local time) as Trump was preparing to arrive for a fundraising dinner at his golf club outside of Los Angeles.
The 38-year-old man was arrested for carrying a concealed firearm and possessing prohibited ammunition.
Law enforcement searched his home and found a plethora of firearms, magazines and ammunition, body armour, and notebooks with “concerning statements.”
The sheriff’s department said there was “no credible threat to our communities”.
