It’s a boy: JD and Usha Vance welcome new baby

US Vice President JD Vance and his wife, second lady Usha Vance, have announced the birth of their fourth child
Alec Neel Vance was born on Sunday (local time).
He is the first baby born to a sitting vice president in more than 150 years.
The newborn joins older siblings – nine-year-old Ewan, six-year-old Vivek and four-year-old Mirabel.
Vance announced the birth on social media.
The couple thanked doctors and staff at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Centre and with the White House medical team.
JD and Usha Vance met while both were at Yale Law School. They married in 2014.
The pregnancy was announced earlier this year, also via social media.
“Usha and the baby are doing well, and we are all looking forward to welcoming him in late July,” the Vances wrote in a statement shared on social media in January.
