‘Biggest moor fire in living memory’ burns in Britain
Residents of villages near Greater Manchester have been evacuated as firefighters battle what authorities have called the “biggest moor fire in living memory”.
Firefighters and police ordered people to leave as flames up to six metres high came as close as 200 metres to houses.
The fire, sparked by heatwave conditions across Britain, is not yet under control.
