Schapelle Corby prepares for return to Australia
Schapelle Corby is set to return to Australia in May after serving the last months of her drug trafficking sentence in Bali.
Corby was originally sentenced to 20 years in jail for importing more than 4kg of marijuana into Bali in 2004, but it’s understood the Parole Board has confirmed her release date as May 27.
She was released from Bali’s Kerobokan Prison on February 10, 2014.
News Corp contacted Schapelle’s sister Mercedes for comment but she had no comment to make about Schapelle’s plans.
Schapelle’s Bali parole officer has been on the record as saying Corby is “happy”.

Queenslander Corby was convicted of smuggling 4.1kg kilograms of marijuana into Bali.
She protested her innocence, maintaining she had no knowledge of the cannabis found in her bodyboard bag and that the drugs were planted by another party.
Corby’s sentence was later minimised to 15 years following a judicial review. In February 2014 Corby was granted parole after serving nine years in prison.
