Fatal, fiery Russian chopper crash caught on film
Chilling footage has emerged of a Russian military helicopter crashing at an air show near Moscow, killing one of the pilots on board.
The Mi-28N attack helicopter was participating at a show at Dubrovichi air field, when it started to spin uncontrollably and then hit the ground in a fiery smash.
The Russian defence ministry who organised the competition, said: “One pilot has died, the condition of the other is satisfactory”.

The vision shows the chopper hurtling straight to the ground and then hitting the earth in a dusty and fiery mess.
The pilot who survived is soon seen scrambling from the wreckage, then hunched over beside his aircraft.
Several emergency vehicles rushed to the wreckage, which crashed just near a large area of thick and tall trees.
All Mi-28Ns in Russia have been grounded because of the crash and the air show was suspended for the day.
The defence ministry said the accident was apparently caused by a hydraulic system failure, which was reported by the surviving pilot who ejected from the chopper.
“According to the second pilot, the catastrophe happened due to aviation equipment failure,” said commander of Russian air force Viktor Bondarev.
The Soviet-designed Mi-28 has been used by the Russian air force since the mid-2000s and is also exported to a number of countries including Iraq.
