One person has been killed and nine wounded after a shooting at a party on a basketball court in Detroit where several children were present.
Police said that one person is in a critical condition after the shooting and that they were searching for suspects, according to the Detroit Free Press.
All other victims sustained non-life-threatening injuries, according to the newspaper.

Assistant police chief Steve Dolunt said several children were present at the party in Detroit’s west end, and it was lucky no minors were injured.
“I think one individual was the target, the others just happened to be at this party,” he said.
At least three of the shooting victims were female, the newspaper reported.
One person was detained for questioning but no one has been arrested in connection with the incident, Sergeant Cassandra Lewis, public information officer for Detroit Police, told the newspaper.
Detroit’s sprawling west side is home to the majority of its residents.
Meanwhile, two children and five adults were injured in a shooting at a block party in Philadelphia on Saturday, when a suspect randomly opened fire on a crowd, officials and local media said.
‘Everybody was here for the picnic’
Philadelphia Police Lieutenant John Walker told NBC affiliate WCAU a gunman shot down a street where people were gathered for a party.
“It appears that everybody was here for the picnic and everybody just ran … it looks like they just randomly fired down the street and just hit whoever was in their way,” Lt Walker said.
He said the incident was “just a terrible situation”.
The news station said one of the victims was an 18-month-old baby who was grazed with a bullet in the neck. Another was a 10-year-old boy.
The other five victims, aged 15 to 25, were taken to hospitals after the shooting, which occurred around 10pm in the largest city in the north-east state of Pennsylvania.
The incidents come as thousands mourn nine people killed by Dylann Roof, who walked into a bible study class at the historic Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Charleston and opened fire on parishioners on Wednesday evening.
Twenty-one-year-old Roof is charged with the murders of the nine people.
Police said he spent an hour in Bible study with parishioners at the historically black church before opening fire.
The massacre has reignited a debate about gun laws in the United States.
