Woman gives birth on toilet – for the second time

A British woman who gave birth to her third baby on the toilet reportedly had no idea she was pregnant.

“One minute I was fine, the next minute I had given birth to a baby down the toilet,” Kirsty Parker said, as reported in The Mirror.

Apart from a few mood swings and a small amount of weight gain, the British mother-of-three had no idea she was even pregnant.

“I really did not have any idea I was pregnant. I had been taking the pill every day and had no idea she was there until she was in the toilet,” Ms Parker said.

Ms Parker, 25, thought she was coming down with a stomach bug and wasn’t worried about the pain she was experiencing.

“I had started to get a bit of pain just beforehand but did not think anything of it. I looked down the toilet there was Ruby.”

Ms Parker shouted for her mother to come upstairs before scooping 3lb 4oz baby Ruby out of the toilet.

Incredibly, this is not the first time Ms Parker has given birth on the toilet.

Just nine months earlier she gave birth to another baby, Amber in the same spot.

And in case that wasn’t enough, her first baby, Crystal was born on her mother’s bathroom floor.

“That was a shock but I knew I was pregnant with her – and with Amber – but on neither occasion did I know I was in labour.”

“As all my previous births have been in a bathroom – that is obviously just where I like to have my children,” Ms Parker said.

Ms Parker’s partner Lee Wren, 34, who has two other children thought his girlfriend was joking.

Ruby is said to be doing well and will be out of hospital in about six weeks once she’s gained some weight.

The staff at North Devon District Hospital suspect she was born about 10 weeks premature.

Ms Parker said that if she had known she was pregnant she would have modified her diet slightly, but fortunately she’s not “a very big drinker”.
