US comedienne Joan Rivers ‘on life support’
American entertainer Joan Rivers is on life-support in a New York hospital after going into cardiac arrest during a medical procedure on Thursday, according to a TMZ report.
The 81-year-old comedienne was placed in a medically induced coma last week.

Rivers was having throat surgery in New York when she stopped breathing and was rushed to Mount Sinai Hospital in New York in a critical condition.
Her daughter Melissa Rivers released a statement thanking everyone for their support.
“I want to thank everyone for the overwhelming love and support for my mother,” said the statement released through a Mount Sinai spokesperson.
“Her condition remains serious but she is receiving the best treatment and care possible.”
The Emmy-winning host of channel E! show Fashion Police has received well-wishes from famous friends like Ellen Degeneres on Twitter.
