Video: Terrifying cyclist hit-run captured on camera

An English cyclist has captured the terrifying moment he was hit by a car and catapulted into the air.

Thirty-four-year-old cyclist Patrick Knetemann was left lying on the side of a road in Berkshire, England, after a car drove into him and then sped off, according to a ninemsn.com.au report.

A camera attached to Mr Knetemann’s handlebar shows how a car quickly turns into his path, throwing Mr Knetemann into the windscreen of the car, and sending his bike flying.

“I hit the windscreen with my shoulder and it shattered straight away. That shows how fast and hard he hit me.”

“He came out of nowhere. The impact was so quick I had no time to stop,” said Mr Knetemann.

Police are now using the footage from the hit-run incident to investigate, and allege that the registration plates on the car were stolen.
