Tired of Mr Abbott , and keen for the return of Mr Rudd?

No, Mr Rudd isn’t making another run at the prime minister’s job … well, maybe not.

But, there is an opportunity to get cosy with Mr Rudd, get paid for your time and hang out at America’s great learning centre – Harvard University.

Mr Rudd has posted an ad seeking a research assistant for his new gig as a senior fellow at Harvard Kennedy School’s Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs.

Candidates must have “excellent writing skills, advanced research expertise in international relations, particularly in US-China relations, deep background on China with particular emphasis on the Chinese economy, and the ability to self-motivate and work well as the member of a small research team”.

It isn’t mentioned in the ad, which was posted on the Council for Foreign Relations website, but there’s a couple of other requirements candidates should probably possess.

If Mr Rudd’s former staffers in Canberra are to be believed, thick skin and a willingness to work 24 hours a day would come in handy.
