Sporting love match Caroline Wozniacki and Rory McIlroy are seemingly getting married.

Tennis ace Wozniacki has tweeted a photo of her engagement ring – a giant rock – saying she said “YES” to the golf superstar’s proposal.  

“Happy New Year everyone! Rory and I started 2014 with a bang! … I said YES!!!” – she tweeted.

The two former world No.1s celebrated New Year’s Eve in Australia, with Wozniacki preparing for the Australian Open starting on January 13.

The Dane withdrew from this week’s Brisbane International on Sunday citing a shoulder injury.

McIlroy’s engagement rounds out a big month for the Northern Irishman after he ran down Adam Scott to win the Australian Open at Royal Sydney for his first tournament success of 2013.
