WATCH: Incredible footage of ‘mothership’ storm
Low-precipitation supercell storms are characterised by a powerful, rotating updraft and a lack of rainfall.
On Sunday night, one developed over the state of Wyoming in America’s west and the result was spectacular.
Storm chasers were there to capture it all on film as the huge, rotating mass of cloud dominated the gloomy sky. With the footage, they produced this time lapse video to prove that talking about the weather doesn’t always have to be boring.
