No third party involved in WA pair’s death

Police have confirmed that the death of a man and woman in the backyard of a Perth home is a suspected murder-suicide.

The bodies of the man and woman, both believed to be aged 50, were found at a house in Dianella on Sunday afternoon.

The man is believed to be a former police officer.

On Monday, police said there was no evidence to suggest any other person was involved in their death.

Major crime squad detectives continue to investigate the matter on behalf of the coroner.

St John Ambulance officers also attended and the house and surrounding area was cordoned off.
