A husband and wife have been found dead at a nursing home in the Perth suburb of Jolimont.

Officers were called to the property on Bishop Street at 1.30am after staff discovered the bodies in a room.

The man was aged 88 years old and his wife was 89 years old.

Major Crime Squad officers and forensic officers are at the scene.
