A teenager has been charged with the murder of a man in Geraldton, the second suspicious death in the town in the past week.

Christopher Cunningham Patterson, 51, was found dead in a home in Seventh Street, Wonthella, on Thursday.

Detectives charged a 17-year-old Wonthella man with Mr Patterson’s murder.

He was remanded in custody and is due to appear in the Geraldton court.

On Tuesday, Dr Dinendra Athukorala was found in a home on Shenton Street in Geraldton.

His wife Chamari Liyanage, also a doctor, was charged with his murder.
