Withers man to front court over police chase
A 29-year-old Withers man has been charged after a police pursuit in Bunbury overnight.
Officers tried to stop a vehicle on Bussell Highway just before midnight when the driver failed to pull over.
Police lost sight of the vehicle but saw it again it a short time later outside a residence on Jacaranda Crescent in Withers.
The dog squad was sent to the area and found the man allegedly hiding in bushes in a nearby street.
He was charged with a string of offences, including driving in excess of 0.08 and possessing a prohibited drug.
He is due to appear in court next month.
