Man charged after body found in building stairwell

A man has been charged after a body was found in the stairwell of an apartment complex in Melbourne’s east.
Victoria Police were called following an alleged assault in the foyer of the Young Street building in Box Hill at 7.45pm on Saturday.
One man, 48, was found dead in a stairwell, while another man was found nearby with facial injuries.
A 42-year-old Box Hill man was arrested at the complex and taken to hospital under police guard before being charged with murder on Sunday.
Police believe the men were known to each other.
The man who was charged will face Melbourne Magistrates Court on Monday.
