Porter Davis customers will soon be able to access plans, permits and other key documents related to their build for free.
About 1700 homes across Victoria and Queensland were left in limbo when the company suddenly collapsed in late March.
Some owners feared they would have to pay to access the intellectual property, however liquidator Grant Thornton said the information would be available at no cost.
Plans, permits, certificates and other documentation will be available through an online portal from May 5.
Customers and their new builders have a one-off licence to use the information as long as they continue to build in the same location.
Earlier this month the Victorian government committed $15 million to pay back 560 owners who put down a deposit but never had insurance filed by the company.
Families who had already started building but were also left without insurance in Victoria are expected to receive further support.
