Police seek three witnesses to Lygon Street alleged abduction and rape

Detectives are looking for two men who spoke to a woman before she was allegedly abducted and raped in Carlton in Melbourne’s inner north.
The woman was allegedly taken from Lygon and Grattan streets in a car about 4.30am on Sunday, June 17.
Two men from Doreen, aged 23 and 26, have already been charged with abduction, two counts of rape, unlawful imprisonment and theft. They were remanded in custody.
Victoria Police released images of the two men and urged them to come forward as they may have information that could assist the investigation.

Images of three witnesses were released on Tuesday and Victoria Police urged them to come forward as they may have information that could assist the investigation.
Police do not believe any of those men were involved in the incident and are witnesses only.
Two of the men are believed to have spoken to the victim and her female friend shortly before the incident.
The men are being treated as witnesses only.
One is described as being perceived to be of an Indian appearance and aged between 20 to 30 years old with a medium build.
He was wearing a maroon hooded top, black pants and dark shoes, and was carrying a white plastic bag.
The second man is described as being of a Caucasian appearance and between 20 to 30 years old.
He was wearing a black top, possibly a black jacket, with tan-coloured pants and dark shoes.
Police also released CCTV footage of a third man, who walked past a shopfront on Grattan Street.
He spoke with an accent, which may have been Serbian, and is described as being aged between 50 to 60 years old.
The man had light brown and grey hair on the sides and was balding on top, with a solid build.
He was wearing black tracksuit pants with a black shirt and scarf at the time.
