A man has been charged for allegedly vandalising a makeshift memorial to Eurydice Dixon days after her death in inner-north Melbourne.
Victoria Police arrested the 31-year-old man from Bulleen on Thursday morning and charged him with criminal damage, offensive behaviour and mark offensive graffiti.
Painted graffiti was spotted at the memorial in Princes Park in Carlton North about 3.50am last Monday, the morning before 10,000 mourners held a vigil for Ms Dixon.

The 22-year-old comedian was found dead at the sports field in the early hours of the morning on Wednesday, June 13.
She was on her way home from performing comedy at the Highlander Bar in the CBD.
Broadmeadows man Jaymes Todd, 19, has been charged with her alleged rape and murder.
Flowers and tributes were left on the field by loved ones and strangers where the graffiti was painted.

Fire crews used high-pressure hoses to remove the paint before the public vigil.
Police at the time vowed to catch those responsible.
“You’re not a brave man if you assault a woman. You’re not a strong man if you assault a woman. You’re not a smart man if you assault a woman,” Assistant Commissioner Stephen Leane told reporters.
And “if you engage in that sort of graffiti”, you’re none of those things either, he said.
Vigil organiser Megan Bridger-Darling told Nine Network the graffiti was “absolutely galling, and insulting and deeply, deeply offensive”.
The 31-year-old man charged over the graffiti has been bailed to appear at Melbourne Magistrates Court on August 10.
