Melbourne Central brawl ends with four security guards in hospital

A manhunt is underway after four security guards were hospitalised after a violent brawl at Melbourne Central on Saturday night.
An altercation broke out when security guards at Asian Beer Café kicked a patron out about 8.25pm, Victoria Police said.
A group of 10 men then set upon the security guards outside the bar.
Video shows the men repeatedly punch and kick the guards. A metal barrier was also thrown across the premises.

Witnesses told 7 News the brawling men picked up knives from the dining tables at a neighbouring restaurant, while families had dinner.
That restaurant was reportedly forced to close as the chaos unfolded.
The men also smashed the ID-card scanner at the venue, to stop them from being identified, witnesses said.
“They got pounded. They were throwing punches full on, it was crazy,” witness Luke Averam told 7 News.
“There was blood all over Melbourne Central, there were families walking by. It was just insane.”
Melbourne Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating.
