Woman filmed brazenly stealing Christmas lights from front yard

A Melbourne mum has filmed the moment a woman stole her outdoor Christmas decorations from her front yard — in broad daylight.

Nuria Celentano, of Taylors Hill, in Melbourne’s northwest, played Melbourne radio station 3AW the footage from her home CCTV system, showing a woman pillaging her front yard of the family’s Christmas decorations.

The woman can be seen on the footage, shot around 10am on Tuesday filling a black bin bag with the Santa signs and Christmas lights.

The footage has had almost 110,000 views since she posted it on her Facebook page on Tuesday evening.

“We didn’t expect to see what we saw,” she told the radio station.

“That’s what really made me angry, how could you do this? Wipe the smile off my children’s faces and make them cry …”

“I can’t take that feeling away from them.

“The signs are only $2, but it is the effort and the love that goes into it,” she told 3AW.”

Ms Celentano also took to Facebook to vent her anger.

“Here is the video of the lovely lady that stole our Christmas lights and the kids Santa Stop here signs!” she posted.

“If u know who she is just tell her to return the stuff back….l would rather not meet her.”

Ms Celentano said she will reported the matter to police.
