Charge over Melbourne speargun shooting
A man has been charged following an incident which has left a woman in a critical condition after being shot in the face with a spear gun, Victorian police say.
The 43-year-old woman was taken to hospital after emergency services were called to an address at Hallam, in Melbourne’s south-east, around 11:30pm on Saturday.

Police have charged a 46-year-old man with intentionally causing serious injury.
He faced an out-of-session court hearing and was remanded in custody.
He will appear at Melbourne Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday.
