Vic man drove 80km at knifepoint

Victorian police officers are searching for a man who allegedly held a knife to a man’s throat and forced him to drive an hour across north-east Victoria.

The driver was waiting at an intersection in the regional city of Shepparton when a man approached the car and forced a knife through the window shortly before 1pm on July 27, police said.

The offender then forced the 27-year-old victim to drive to the town of Yarrawonga, about one hour away.

Police said the man then assaulted the victim before getting into a waiting red VX Holden Commodore and leaving in the direction of Cobram.
