Driver’s U-turn in the backyard
A woman has blown more than six times the legal blood alcohol limit after allegedly crashing into three cars in separate incidents in Melbourne’s south east.
Police said the 40-year-old woman from Frankston crashed into a parked car in Endeavour Hills about 6:00pm on Friday, before continuing on to Narre Warren North.
They said she then drove down a private driveway and did a u-turn in the backyard.
“Undeterred, she continued and turned down Ebeli Close in Narre Warren North,” Victoria Police said.
“However upon realising the street was a dead end, she decided to drive up a nearby driveway, past a garage on the property and perform a u-turn in a residential backyard before leaving the address.”
She then kept driving until she crashed into a car in Hallam, police believed.
“In an apparent act of persistence, it’s believed she kept driving until she collided with a LandCruiser on Belgrave-Hallam Road, Hallam,” police said.
The woman, who returned an alcohol reading of 0.306 per cent when breath tested, will be interviewed by police.
No-one was hurt in the collisions.
