Thieves steal ashes of stillborn babies during Kurunjang break-in
A box containing the ashes of three stillborn children has been stolen during a robbery at Kurunjang, near Melton, in Melbourne’s west.
Police believe the offenders forced open a side window before ransacking the house on Christina Crescent on Thursday afternoon.
The thieves stole laptops, jewellery, an iPhone and the box containing the ashes of the victim’s children.
They then fled the scene, possibly in a white Commodore sedan with white and red personalised plates.
Police said the box was wrapped up in tape and looks like a parcel.
Anyone with information is urged to contact police.
