A couple’s breakup has gone very public if this paint job is anything to go by.

The image was posted on the online forum Reddit on Monday, and shows a silver Ford ute with Tasmanian number plates scrawled with the words “cheater” and “I love crack whores” in red paint.

Captioned with the words “I’d say she’s mad at you mate”, the image has currently received over 400 ‘up votes’ on the site.

The identities of the car owner, or of the artist are not known, although users identified the intersection pictured as the corner of York and Bathurst streets in Launceston.

Some users commented questioning why the driver would cruise around town with the emblazoned accusations still visible.

Perhaps, like Shakespeare’s Macbeth, the owner has scrubbed and scrubbed to no avail.
