Boy, 4, drowns in backyard pool
A four-year-old boy has drowned in a backyard pool in northern Tasmania.
The child was reported missing in the Launceston suburb of Youngtown on Sunday morning and was found unconscious in the pool a short time later.
Attempts at CPR were unsuccessful and he was pronounced dead at the Launceston General Hospital.
A report is being prepared for the coroner.
Tasmania Police have declined to comment further on the death.
