Leadership role for Palmer United’s Jacqui Lambie
The Palmer United Party has announced its Tasmanian senator-elect Jacqui Lambie will be the party’s deputy leader in the senate.
Ms Lambie claimed Tasmania’s sixth senate spot in last month’s federal election.
She will assume her responsibilities when the new Senate sits for the first time next July.
The party’s senate leader is former Queensland rugby player and senator-elect, Glenn Lazarus.
