Warmer weather ahead for Tasmania
The latest seasonal outlook for Tasmania has predicted warmer days and warmer nights as the state heads into the bushfire season.
Ian Barnes Keoghan from the weather bureau says the chance of a wetter or drier than normal season are roughly equal.
He says the above average rainfall in parts of Tasmania through winter and into early spring has meant a heavy fuel load which could be a problem later in summer.
Ian Barnes Koeghan says climate influences include warmer than average sea surface temperatures around Australia, and a neutral tropical Pacific.
