US DNA experts recruited in hunt for sex predator
Police investigating a series of sexual assaults on the Gold Coast and in suburbs south of Brisbane are seeking help from DNA experts in the United States.
A team of detectives is searching for a man who sexually assaulted women in eight incidents since 2005.

Detective Superintendent David Hutchinson said police had a number of suspects.
“We are in the process of speaking with these people and obtaining voluntary DNA where possible and we also have a couple of other avenues of inquiry we are following in relation to the technology side of DNA which we are following,” he said.
“Some of the current DNA technology’s available overseas – we are having those inquiries made overseas in the USA.”
