Uber driver ‘attacked with machete’
An Uber driver has allegedly been attacked with a machete by a teenaged female passenger in Brisbane.
The male driver, 37, reported to police that the woman, 17, tried to steal his vehicle and caused a laceration to his head on Thursday morning, The Courier-Mail reported.

The woman was reportedly not his scheduled passenger.
The driver has been taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital for treatment. His wound was described by police as serious but not life threatening.
The woman has been charged with attempted robbery with violence and assault occasioning bodily harm. She is due to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court later on Thursday.
