Two people have been killed in a collision between a car and a truck on the Pacific Motorway at Eight Mile Plains, south of Brisbane.

The Queensland Ambulance Service said both people were in the car and they died at the scene of the crash.

It occurred on the southbound side of the motorway near the Logan Road exit just before 10:30am.

A third person was taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a stable condition.

The male truck driver was not injured in the crash.

Emergency crews are still at the scene and traffic diversions are in place.

Delays are expected for some time.
