Police Detectives have charged a Pacific Haven man with murder, following an investigation into death of a woman found in a Queensland home on Sunday.

Queensland Police say the woman, 32, was discovered by a relative just after 7am at a home in Pacific Haven, west of Hervey Bay.

Police established a crime scene at a Pacific Haven Drive home, where the woman was located.

A Pacific Haven man, 34, was stopped by police while driving on the Bruce Highway south of Gympie on Sunday and arrested.

Police say the man has been charged with murder and is expected to appear at Hervey Bay Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
