A teenager has been charged with raping an elderly woman in the front yard of her central Queensland home.

The 17-year-old is due to front the Mackay Magistrates Court on Friday, charged over last month’s attack.

It’s alleged he approached the woman in her yard about 7pm on May 12 (AEST) before attacking her.

He’s facing one charge of rape.
