A man has been charged with murder after the body of a 28-year-old woman was found in a house in central-west NSW.
Police were called to a house in Young Street, Forbes, about 2am on Monday, after concerns were raised for the woman.
Officers found her body inside the house.
A short time later, a 29-year-old man was arrested at a property in Fifield, about 100 kilometres north-west of Forbes.
He was taken to Parkes Police Station and charged later on Monday with murder and contravening an apprehended violence order.
The woman’s name is yet to be officially released.
Police are due to hold a media briefing in Parkes on Monday afternoon.
Researcher Sherele Moody said 30 women have been killed in Australia already this year – 10 of them during April.
