CCTV footage has been released of a “targeted” knife attack outside a Sydney nightclub that left two men in hospital.

Police want help to identify three men over the alleged attempted murder and stabbing on July 29.

The two victims, aged 25 and 34, have since been released from hospital.

Detective Inspector Joel Best said police believe the “terrifying” attack outside the club on Oxford St was targeted at the younger man.

“We want these people who know the offenders to come forward,” he told reporters outside Surry Hills Police Station.

“We do believe that there are people around all those involved that can help us and bring the offenders to justice.

“This is a terrifying ordeal and should never occur on any street in Sydney.”

Detectives said CCTV showed the three wanted men, wearing dark hooded jumpers, fled the scene and were last seen running down nearby Foley St.
