Train tragedy: worker struck and killed
A Sydney Trains employee has been struck and killed while working on the T1 Western Line.
It’s understood the accident happened early Saturday while the employee was doing maintenance work.

Sydney Trains says the worker was struck by a train approaching Sydney from the Blue Mountains and that an investigation is occurring at the scene between Clyde and Auburn.
It’s believed the incident occurred while the employee was involved with “important maintenance work”.
“I am shocked and saddened by this news and I know that Sydney Trains and NSW TrainLink will work tirelessly with the relevant agencies during the investigation,” Transport Minister Andrew Constance said.
