Sydney Opera House evacuated by police
NSW Police have conducted a “precautionary” operation at the Sydney Opera House and Manly ferry terminal after receiving “information on social media”.
The forecourt of the Opera House was cleared of people at about 2pm on Thursday, with police erecting metal barriers to cordon off the site.
The police operation finished at 3:30pm (AEDT), according to police. People were now moving freely throughout the area.
