Two people have been killed in a light plane crash at a farmstay on New South Wales’ northern tablelands.

The pair had been staying at the property, north of Glen Innes, which has two private airstrips for microlight aircraft.
According to the ABC, they were friends of the owners of the Nine Mile Road property, which also hosts farm activities and fishing tours for those staying in the homestead-style accommodation.
Police at the scene are investigating the cause of the crash.
