The body of a woman missing from North Bondi since last month has been located in the Blue Mountains at Katoomba.

The 36-year-old was last seen about 8am on Thursday, June 26 and reported missing by family members the next day, police say.

Inquiries revealed her last known movements to be in Katoomba Street at Katoomba.

A search was launched at the time but failed to find the woman.

However, police say officers were called to a cliff base below Tallawalla Lookout, just east of the Three Sisters, on Tuesday morning after a body was located there.

While a formal identification is yet to take place, they believe the body is that of the missing woman.

Investigations continue and a report will be prepared for the Coroner.
