Two injured in helicopter crash at Coffs Harbour

Two people have been injured in a helicopter crash at Coffs Harbour airport on the New South Wales mid-north coast.

The small helicopter lost its tail when it crash landed just before 7 O’Clock this morning.

Police, fire and ambulance crews responded to find two men with non-life-threatening injuries.

Both been taken to Coffs Harbour Base Hospital in a stable condition, with one complaining of back pain.

The helicopter wreckage remains at the airport sitting in a paddock.

The Australian Transport Safety Bureau is expected to investigate the crash.
