Coffs Harbour Jetty Foreshores plan up for the vote
Coffs Harbour City Council will decide tomorrow night, Thursday October 23, 2013 whether or not to go ahead with the first stage of a massive redevelopment of the Jetty Foreshores.
Draft concept plans a redevelopment of the Jetty Foreshores were placed on exhibition earlier this year, generating an enormous public response.
More than 1400 submissions were received, largely indicating a need to do something at the Jetty, and the majority supporting the basic proposals.
Coffs Harbour City Council staff now want to proceed with the first stage of the redevelopment a new walkway, worth nearly $1.5 million.
It will require a loan of up to $2.6 million to fund Stage 1 along with more detailed planning of future stages.
The Council will vote on the proposal at its meeting tomorrow night.
