Wolf bares his fangs
Jordan Belfort lost his temper in an interview airing last night, blowing up at 60 Minutes presenter Liz Hayes.
The real-life Wolf of Wall Street reacted to Hayes questioning over a contract with the former stockbroker’s management company.
Hayes asked: “The last thing is that you have an oral contract with your management, the Fordham company, is that an attempt to hide your income?”
Belfort rose from his chair in response to the question, saying “no one’s ever treated me as disrespectfully as you have”.
“I’ve said enough about this, let’s move on, since you’ve stonewalled me at every step!” Belfort said.
“I’m done with this, I’m not gonna get attacked here — you’ve got a lot of nerve boy, I‘ll tell you!”
The author and public speaker returned to the room, but accused the journalist of doing a “hatchet job” on him.
Belfort, who was portrayed by Leonardo DiCaprio in the film The Wolf of Wall Street, is coming to Australia for another round of his popular seminar tour, in which he sells his own story and the secrets of sales.
Hayes talks about the interview in this “extra” from the program.
