Newly elected senator, Derryn Hinch, has vowed to name names of convicted sex offenders under parliamentary privilege during his first speech to the Senate.
The former broadcaster, who has long campaigned to name and shame pedophiles, will deliver his first speech at 5pm on Monday.
“Names will be named. That’s all I’ll say,” Senator Hinch told the Seven Network.
Senator Hinch was jailed in 2014 for contempt of court after he published the criminal history of the murderer of Melbourne woman Jill Meagher on his blog.
He also spent five months of 2011 under house arrest and was banned from public communication after breaching court suppression orders by naming sex offenders.
