Airport strikes shelved amid security fears

Industrial action by Australian Border Force staff at airports has been suspended because of concerns over national security.

Easter strikes to cause airport chaos

Community and Public Sector Union staff had launched rolling strikes in an effort to break a deadlock over pay talks.

But the Fair Work Commission granted an urgent order to suspend the nationwide stoppages, after an application by the federal government.

The case will resume tomorrow.
