Scott Morrison ‘our next contemporary PM’: Mirabella
Social services minister Scott Morrison has been dubbed ‘the next contemporary prime minister of Australia’ by former political colleague Sophie Mirabella.
Former federal MP Ms Mirabella made the claim during a Liberal Party fundraiser hosted at her home on Saturday, The Border Mail has reported.

“This man will be the next contemporary prime minister of Australia,” Ms Mirabella said.
“Too many politicians are too concerned about being liked rather than getting things done.
“I will be working together with all other people locally to work on the return of the Coalition — that’s what you do as a party member.”
Mr Morrison was reportedly in attendance at the event and praised Ms Mirabella in turn.
The fundraiser marked the beginning of the party’s campaign for the federal seat of Indi, which Ms Mirabella lost in 2013.
It has been speculated that Ms Mirabella will again seek preselection for the seat — a rumour she has not confirmed or denied.
In the most recent Morgan national poll, Scott Morrison did not feature in the top three most preferred Liberal leaders, who were Malcolm Turnbull (38 per cent), Julie Bishop (27 per cent) and Tony Abbott (12 per cent).
