Perth bushfire ‘contained’
Fire crews have contained a bushfire in Perth’s north-east that was burning out of control.
Earlier, a bushfire emergency warning was issued for the Gnangara pine plantation.
That warning has been downgraded to watch and act.
• Family ‘glimpses’ autistic boy lost in Victoria
• It’s not murder if your gay victim ‘panics’ you
• Ex-Labor foreign fighter not charged
But the West Australian Department of Parks and Wildlife says the fire, which has burned through 500 hectares, has not yet been controlled and may still pose a threat to lives and homes.
A relocation centre has been set up at Wanneroo Community Centre in Scenic Drive.
