Millionaire podiatrist’s wife charged with his murder
The wife of millionaire Sydney podiatrist Phillip Vasyli has been charged with his stabbing murder in their luxury Bahamas home last week.
The body of Mr Vasyli was found by a worker in the dining room of their home on the morning of March 24. He had suffered a single stab wound to the chest.

Fifty-four-year-old Donna Vasyli was arrested last week and on Monday charged with one count of murder at a magistrate’s court in the Bahamas, according to Fairfax media.
Mr Vasyli owned three podiatry clinics in Sydney and later established a large custom orthotic manufacturing laboratory.

The couple together ran a not-for-profit organisation called the Vasyli Foundation, which, according to the foundation’s website, raises money for talented young individuals who lack opportunity.
On the Vasyli Foundation website, Mrs Vasyli is listed as a “kind soul and bright spirit” whose “motherly instinct and caring values are the root of the family’s moral and traditional values”.
The couple’s adult children Aron and Lauren also worked for the foundation.
A statement on the podiatrist’s website last week said the family were “deeply saddened” by his sudden passing.
His wife is being held in Her Majesty’s Prison in the capital of Nassau, and will face court again on May 20.
