Australia’s first chocolate manufacturer Ernest Hillier has reportedly gone into voluntary administration.
The century-old business, based at Coburg, stocks its sweet chocolate treats at David Jones, Coles and Myer.

Voluntary administrator Cor Cordis was appointed earlier this week, media outlets reported on Wednesday.
Administrator Bruno Secatore says the business will be put up for sale within three weeks.
“It certainly needs an injection of funds,” he told Fairfax Media.
“There has been some restructuring but it needs more.”
The company’s website says Ernest Hillier was Australia’s first chocolate maker, with the product established in 1914.
It is understood the business employs about 60 people.
